How to Cancel LinkedIn Premium

Cancel LinkedIn Premium Career, Business, or Sales Navigator — and stop the auto-renewal before your next billing date. Includes what you lose and what stays.

LinkedIn Premium ranges from $39.99/month (Career) to $79.99/month (Business) or more for Sales Navigator. The annual plan is cheaper per month but commits you to a full year. Many people sign up for a free trial around a job search and forget to cancel before the trial ends. Here's exactly how to cancel and what to watch out for.

1

How to Cancel LinkedIn Premium

Sign in to LinkedIn on a desktop browser. Click your profile photo in the top-right corner and select "Premium features" or go to linkedin.com/premium. Click "Manage Premium account". On the left sidebar, click "Cancel subscription". LinkedIn will walk you through several screens offering discounts or a pause before you reach the final confirmation. Click through to "Confirm cancellation". You'll receive a confirmation email. If you're on an annual plan, you keep Premium until the year ends — LinkedIn does not pro-rate refunds for annual subscriptions.

2

How to Cancel LinkedIn Premium on iPhone

LinkedIn Premium can be purchased through the iOS App Store, in which case you must cancel through Apple rather than LinkedIn. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LinkedIn Premium → Cancel Subscription. If you subscribed directly through LinkedIn's website, the App Store won't show the subscription and you must use the web cancellation method. To check: on LinkedIn's premium page, if you see "Manage through iTunes" or similar text, your billing goes through Apple.

Annual Plans and Partial Refunds

LinkedIn Premium annual plans (billed upfront) are not refundable in most cases. However, LinkedIn does occasionally offer a refund within 7 days of an annual charge if you contact support immediately. There's no guarantee, but it's worth trying if you were recently billed. For monthly plans, you keep access until the month ends with no refund. Once you cancel, InMail credits you've accumulated are lost — use them before cancelling if you have any.

What You Lose When You Cancel LinkedIn Premium

After cancellation, you lose: InMail messaging credits, visibility into who viewed your profile beyond the last few viewers, LinkedIn Learning course access, salary and applicant insights on job listings, and the Premium badge on your profile. Your profile, connections, posts, and job applications are completely unaffected — Premium is a feature layer on top of the free LinkedIn account. If you cancel around a job search, consider keeping it one more month until you have an offer, as the InMail and applicant insights are most useful during active search.
